About Us

Mariachi Los Arrieros de Laredo was formed in January 2001. Mariachi Los Arrieros is an ensemble comprised of 11 talented musicians. Powerful vocals, energetic performances and solid execuation of traditional and present-day melodies have captitated audiences around Laredo and the surrounding area. The desire to promote the distinct and irreplaceable art of mariachi music is the heart and soul of Mariachi Los Arrieros de Laredo.

Mariachi Los Arrieros de Laredo has won several competitions such as the Jalapeno Festival and the 250th Anniversary Border Fest Celebration. Mariachi Los Arrieros received excellent reviews and recognition for delivering their humbling performances to the 2005 Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo at the Astrodome, Verizon Wireless Theatre, and , Noche de Gala at McAllen, Texas in April 2003 & 2004. Mariachi Los Arrieros de Laredo was honored to host a workshop for schools from all over South Texas at the 1st annual Viva El Mariachi Festival at Laredo Community College in conjunction with Grammy Nominated Mariachi Sol de Mexico de Jose Hernandez. Futhermore, Mariachi Los Arrieros have shared the stage with and accompanied artists such as Macro Antonio (El Buki), Pablo Montero, Mariachi Sol de Mexico, Mariachi Sonidos De America, Joan Sebastian, Mariana Seoane, Don Omar, and other local rising artists.
